Physical TherapyWe see Physical Therapy as a vital part of the total care for our patients who have problems of temporary or permanent disability. A medical referral is often made 1) post-operatively, 2) following stroke, 3) upon recognition of birth defects, 4) or following injury or illness. An NJ Pain & Rehabilitation Center physical therapist will select appropriate tests to evaluate and quantitatively measure your problem.

Then, in consultation with the referring physician, an appropriate rehabilitation plan is developed. The PT uses numerous modalities and procedures to expedite healing, and will instruct you in a home program. There may be follow-up visits for re-evaluation and update of the home exercise program. Physical Therapy's ultimate goal is for our patients to achieve freedom from pain, independent living, and a complete understanding of how to prevent re-injury.
